Job description

Job description We are seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens assignment at an inpatient facility. This is an ongoing need with a long-term option until a permanent provider is onboarded. Join a supportive clinical team providing meaningful care for patients ages 12 years and older.

Job Responsibilities

Provide inpatient psychiatric care in a 12-bed unit

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care

Weekend call coverage (phone + inpatient follow-up as needed)

Deliver high-quality care aligned with best practices and compliance standards

Qualifications

Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Will also consider BC Psychiatry with recent C/A fellowship training or extensive C/A experience

Must be comfortable treating adolescents (12+) and adults

Active license in state of practice (or ability to obtain)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Working Hours

7 on / 7 off schedule

8am – 5pm inpatient during on-service weeks

Weekend/night call coverage required

Overtime available (OT after 8 hours/day)

Strong diagnostic and treatment planning abilities

Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills

Adaptability in a hospitalist model environment
