Adelphi is looking to recruit Psychiatrists to work in various cities within the Commonwealth of Virginia (COV). Qualified psychiatrists who meet the criteria below are welcome to apply with an indication of which counties/cities they would be open to working in. The ideal psychiatrist should be able to provide DSM-5 diagnoses that are valid that are complete and supported by assessments and evaluations.

Responsibilities:
• Make specific recommendations for further evaluation, medication, psychological services, environmental change, and/or hospitalization
• Make provisional recommendations for treatment, specifying conditions; and for medications, specifying type(s) of medication(s) and dosage(s)
• Be responsible for involuntary commitment hearings and court-related activities as necessary, in consultation with the facility
• Confer with the facility psychological, medical, counseling, and security staff when not in evaluation
• Handle treatment of psychiatric disorders
