Outpatient Addiction Medicine Medical Director - San Francisco, CA
Located in the heart of the Embarcadero district, Foundations San Francisco ( offers comprehensive, confidential and compassionate outpatient treatment for adults in a convenient urban setting with flexible daytime and evening programs for mental health disorders and substance abuse.
Our intensive outpatient program is located in the Embarcadero building on a quiet street in beautiful downtown San Francisco. Everything for our IOP takes place in the same building: process groups, individual sessions, and holistic offerings, such as yoga, acupuncture and massage therapy.
We are currently recruiting for an Outpatient Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine Medical Director to join our dynamic team!
DETAILS:
Part time, 8-10 hours per week. Independent contractor arrangement with competitive rates.
Daily caseload up to 10 total encounters.
Medical oversight of the program.
Provision of clinical duties of direct patient care & case consultation with clinical staff.
Occasional psychoeducation in group and individual formats.
On-call coverage for consultation or crisis intervention - Typically during office hours only.
Incumbent will be a critical part to client treatment plans and updates.
Crisis management. Some involvement with insurance utilization reviews for peer-to-peer appeals.
Occasional program promotion activity such as continuing education talks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position. The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department. If training or experience is not required but is desirable, it is listed as preferred; however, persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE:
MD/DO degree from an accredited program (required).
Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine board certification or board eligibility (required).
Current California Medical Physician license, in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure (required).
Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
