The Senior Psychiatrist clinically monitors all mental health and primary care services provided to adults in this detox center.

Duties include:

• Conduct initial psychiatric patient assessments to determine medication and treatment needsPrescribe medications and treatments with attention to existing medical diagnoses and concomitant therapies
• Assumes initiative in center activities and seeks new sources of patient referrals and programs for the growth of the health center
• Complete clinical documentation possibly including but not limited to psychiatric admission assessments and discharge summaries
• Document all evaluations of and interactions with patients including the administration of medications and treatments·

Requirements:

• Psychiatrist with valid MD license
• Must have up to date knowledge of psychotropic medications; and evidenced-based/best practices treatment modalities for adults with mental health issues.
