Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough assessments and provide compassionate treatment to Clinic clients, ensuring their health journeys are supported with expert care.
  • Commit to regularly scheduled hours, actively engaging with patients at the Clinic to meet or exceed established productivity requirements.
  • Develop and uphold clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols for psychiatric care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Be responsive to patient needs via phone during regular Clinic hours and as scheduled outside of these hours, offering guidance and support.
  • Contribute to the development and review of educational materials to empower patients with knowledge regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Supervise and mentor health care students and non-physician providers, fostering a culture of excellence and learning.
  • Initiate and manage a clinical quality assurance program, ensuring care standards are maintained and exceeded.
  • Engage actively in meetings and contribute to the Performance Improvement Program to drive continuous enhancement in patient care.
  • Execute other duties as assigned, embracing a proactive approach to diverse challenges within the healthcare ecosystem.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Psychiatry with a current Texas License, maintaining high ethical standards in line with professional licensing requirements.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development by completing necessary continuing education hours to uphold your license.
  • Maintain good standing with the professional licensing board and actively participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement programs.
  • Proficiency in Legacy Community Health's EPIC system, ensuring seamless patient record management.
  • 3 years of Psychiatric experience preferred, with a focus on Adult Med and Geriatrics. Experienced candidates are preferred, though residents will be considered.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in community healthcare.
