The Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis, seeks a Substance Use/Addiction Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team, perform direct clinical care, and supervise Substance Use Disorder fellows, general psychiatry residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners. The incoming psychiatrist will engage in scholarly or creative activities to support their clinical, teaching, and professional service activities. Candidates must be eager to address a wide range of problems related to alcohol, opioids, prescription medication, cannabis, methamphetamine, cocaine, or other substance use.


  • Opportunity Highlights:Work in a Level 1 trauma center specializing in treating psychiatric co-morbidities among hospitalized patients and offering comprehensive Level 1 outpatient treatment
  • Providers don't deal with prior authorizations; a dedicated pharmacy team, including pharmacists and technicians, handles them
