Reading Hospital is seeking a BE/BC outpatient psychiatrist. In 2022, Reading Hospital welcomed our first Psychiatry residency class. We were approved for 32 residents (eight per class). This position offers the opportunity to teach residents and medical students.


Job Summary

  • Physicians would be located at our beautiful new Medical Office Building in Reading, PA
  • 60 minutes for intake appointments
  • 30 minutes for transfers
  • 15 minutes for follow-ups / medical checks
  • Adult patients only; a separate Child/Adolescent OP service is established
  • Opportunity to also do consults in Reading Hospital


Additional Psychiatric services offered by Tower Health’s Reading Hospital and TBH include: a medical complexity unit, a dedicated C/L service, extensive outpatient services throughout Berks County, including partial hospitalization and an Assertive Community Treatment Program. Other services include Medication Assisted Treatment, Behavioral Medicine Pain Management, and a Senior Assessment Program.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or equivalent foreign degree
Completion of ACMGE accredited psychiatry residency or fellowship program
Candidates must be BE/BC in Psychiatry 
Candidates coming out of training encouraged to apply!
A valid PA Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required
