The Merraine Group is actively seeking a qualified Chief Medical Officer for a renowned behavioral health organization situated in Connecticut.

We are seeking a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in addiction to join the Executive Leadership Team in the capacity of Chief Medical Officer. Our client is a non-profit organization committed to providing exceptional behavioral healthcare, and they are currently undergoing sustained growth and service expansion. With a current presence at 10 sites across Connecticut, catering to nearly 6,000 patients daily, we are strategically adapting to evolving patient needs. Our goal is to expand our network and services to effectively address these changing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) assumes ultimate responsibility for the medical facets of the organization, overseeing all medical services and spearheading the clinical strategy.
• As a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, this role is charged with enhancing clinical care and patient outcomes through initiatives such as research, training programs, and academic fellowships.
• The ideal candidate will exhibit astute leadership, adept relationship-building skills, and effective communication within the team.
• Administrative responsibilities encompass the supervision of medical services, guidance for healthcare professionals, policy review, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• The CMO nurtures a team of compassionate care providers, ensuring alignment of clinical programs with federal and state requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Prospective candidates are required to hold a valid medical license in the State of Connecticut.
• A minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice, coupled with an additional five (5) years of experience in clinical supervisory or administrative roles, is mandatory.
• Board certification in psychiatry is a prerequisite, along with prior involvement in a chemical dependency treatment setting.

Working Hours

• Flexibility: Achieve an excellent work-life balance as our clinics are closed on Sundays, and there are currently no on-call responsibilities.
