Onsite Correctional Psychiatrist Position in California (Full-Time) $225/hr

Amwell is looking for a BC Psychiatrist for a full-time, on-site Psychiatry position in Santa Ana, CA. Competitive compensation and full malpractice coverage provided.

Location: Orange County Corrections in Santa Ana, CA

Work Schedule: Full-Time/Day shifts from 7a-3p.

Scope of Work: The MD will be assisting the correctional health care team by doing psychiatric evaluations on new patients on acute mentally ill patients which have been placed on “Mod L” primarily from the Intake Receiving Unit. Patients are seen in an outpatient setting when security permits. The MD will see approximately 15 patients per 8-hour shift. The MD will see a mixture of new patients and provide psychiatric evaluations, follow ups for patients that have been housed and on medications, chart review, and medication renewals.

Essential Credentialing Requirements:

• Must have active CA medical license and DEA
• Must be BC in Psychiatry
• Previous experience in a correctional setting is preferred
