We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join three Psychologists and a Licensed Social Worker in a full-time outpatient practice. Ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working closely with multi-specialty group members and communicates well with patients, colleagues and members of treatment teams. Come to work in a highly respected, physician-led medical center with 40 multi-specialty physicians. ? Panel of approximately 350 patients; Case mix spans across all ages and diagnoses ? Provide evaluation and medication management ? Collaborate with therapists in the clinic for psychotherapy service ? Psychotherapeutic approach in the clinic is largely cognitive/behavioral ? A portion of the practice includes provision of psychiatric services to seriously and persistently mentally ill patients in collaboration with case managers, home health nurses and personal care assistants from various county departments of human services ? Provides psychiatric and psychological services to mentally retarded and developmentally disabled patients in collaboration with staff from group homes and sheltered employment providers ? Work week is 4 ½ days; Call is 1 in 6 weeks, 1 in 7 with the addition of a third psychiatrist ? On call responsibilities are primarily to the emergency department ? Occasional consultation requests from the inpatient medical/surgical hospital Compensation and Benefits: 2-year guaranteed salary based on AMGA (American Medical Group Association) northern region competitive with the opportunity to earn significantly more with w/RVU based production.
