Exciting opportunity for an early- to mid-career licensed (or license eligible) Clinical Psychologist, or Social Worker, to teach family medicine and pediatric residents in an academic setting. This position is full-time with excellent benefits and possibility of faculty appointment in Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Responsibilities involve precepting/ consulting with residents at the medical clinics, developing behavioral science curriculum initiatives, teaching didactic sessions, evaluating residents’ performance and mentoring them in community-oriented projects. Responsibilities also include the opportunity for teaching and some supervision of psychology graduate and post-graduate trainees in our robust integrated Primary Care Psychology Externship and Advanced Primary Care Fellowship programs. This position will be able to work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, community health workers, and psychiatrists among others.

The Residency Program in Social Medicine has a long tradition of interdisciplinary collaboration and commitment to integration of a family, biopsychosocial, and social justice perspective to medical training and practice. The candidate should have a solid and varied clinical background, familiarity with primary care settings and medical education, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to address clinical problems from a family and sociocultural perspective. Sensitivity and skills to work with underserved populations is a must. Individuals who speak Spanish fluently and/or from a background underrepresented in medicine are highly encouraged to apply.
