The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University (OSU) is actively growing and recruiting highly motivated psychiatrists committed to excellence in clinical care and a career in academic psychiatry. OSU has created a range of unique opportunities for a diverse workforce, with faculty tracks for individuals interested in inpatient and ambulatory psychiatry, as well as emergency, addiction, and geriatric psychiatry.

Our department is vibrant and growing. Harding Hospital has 71 inpatient adult psychiatric beds, and our psychiatric emergency service sees over 8,000 consults a year. We have an expanding number of partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs and we are in the process of developing four additional suburban sites. We have a residency program of over 40 general psychiatry residents with plans for expansion and have fellowships in child psychiatry, addiction medicine, forensics, and consult-liaison.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Excellent benefit package includes retirement, medical and dental plans, malpractice, and conference and vacation.

Minimum Qualifications

MD or DO

Successful completion of a Psychiatry Residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible

Ohio Medical License (Required Prior to Practice Start Date)
