Hiring an Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist for a large NYC-based academic health system. The Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist must be board certified or board eligible. The Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist will perform thorough patient clinical histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough patient clinical histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Continues stan­dards of care as de­scribed in Prin­ci­ples of Prac­tice, pro­to­cols, and Scope of Prac­tice as approved by the State of New York Board of Medicine.
  • Treat patients using psychological therapies.
  • Prescribe treatments or therapies.
  • Prescribe medications
  • No mandatory call
  • No nights or weekends
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30-4:30, if weekends are desired, there is additional comp

Education Requirements:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified American Board of Psychiatry
  • Specialty; Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist
  • New York State Medical License
  • Valid Medicaid number and DEA number
