We have an urgent need for a Locum Tenens Adulta Psychiatrist in Alaska

First Vacancy starts ASAP. Assignment is for 3-6 months.

Training & Orientation start: ASAP

The candidate(s) need to be computer literate and be able to work with MEDITECH or similar Electronic Medical Record system.

Candidates must have an Alaska license in place.

This assignment is for inpatient coverage at an acute care, inpatient, locked facility. Work will be with adult patients but may need to admit an adolescent while on call. Candidate(s) will be working on an interdisciplinary team to include Social Worker, Nursing, Psychology, and Rehab services. Patient load depends on census but is about 12-14 patients. We have a high admission and discharge rate, therefore medical records and notes need to be done daily or per Joint Commission or Insurance requirements. Preference is for notes to be done same day. The work days are Monday through Friday with occasional weekends (about 1 x per month) and may include a holiday, depending on length of assignment. Call is about 1x per week. Hours are 8am – 4pm.

***OT hourly rate is $10.00 an hour more and no call is being discussed at this time. OT we could jump up in rate if needed.
