MDA (Medical Doctor Associates) is seeking Acute Adult Psychiatry coverage for an Inpatient (IP) facility located in Eastern Virginia and provides a friendly, small-town setting along with the progressive and active environment of a larger city.
Coverage is needed upon completion of credentialing (90 days) for a minimum of 3 months. Board Certification is required along with an active VA license. Acute inpatient psychiatric unit working with, NGRI (not guilty by reason on insanity) patients. Caseload consists of 12 -14. Documentation Requirements: Complete Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation within 60 hours of admission. Progress notes at least weekly. Treatment Team Meetings are held weekly for 1st month, then every 2 weeks for one month; then monthly thereafter. Special Team Meeting if there is a significant incident or change in patient’s condition. Complete and sign discharge summary within 15 days of discharge. PCP will do physical examinations and are consulted for medical issues.
