Job Opening for a Psychiatrist for the Naval Hospital at Jacksonville, North Carolina.

This Psychiatrist is part of the extensive military medical system in which civilian providers work alongside active duty service members in the facilities. This position will work with other Behavioral Health professionals that form a team that provides patient services at the Naval Hospital on Camp Lejeune and the surrounding clinics. The hospital and clinics operate under the Naval Medical Center and provide services to the active duty Marines and their families. Additionally, the NMC provides services to retirees (those that served in the Marines for 20 years) and their families. Because of the wide demographics, you might be helping a WW2 Veteran in the morning and then a adolescent processing parents' deployments in the afternoon.

As a civilian provider, you will be a civilian provider and a FSR employee. You will be supported by a FSR Program Manager who works hand-in-hand with the facility. Additionally, the FSR HQ office will provide your administrative support for benefits, payroll, and so forth.

The Psychiatrist postiion Requirements:


- Psychiatry Residency program (approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association, or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)


- Board certification in Psychiatry


- Possess a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 3 years as a Psychiatrist

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
