Jackson & Coker is looking for a full time Locums Psychiatrist to provide services for the inmate population 20-40 hours per week. The facility is a reception center, the provider will primarily conduct assessments of incoming inmates, with some short-term medication mgmt until inmates is transferred to parent institution. Must be BE/BC.

Job Duties: Evaluations, exams, analyze, diagnosis, and treat. Prescribe medication and perform in depth psychotherapy and counseling. Monitor & coordinate professional & paraprofessional medical, nursing and direct care staff in areas related to Psychiatric care. Review records for accuracy and completeness.

Days of the week: Part Time / Flexible on days/ hours per week

Setting: Inpatient

Age Range: Adult population

Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry. Fellowship in forensics preferred but not mandatory.
