Lincoln Medical Center's Department of Behavioral Health provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families. The department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, licensed clinical psychologists, nurses and social workers who work in collaboration to develop recovery plans tailored to meet the clients' individual needs. Services are provided through the Adult Outpatient and Inpatient Units and Child and Adolescent Outpatient Mental Health Services. Comprehensive outpatient services include individual therapy, group therapy, bilingual therapy, medication management programs and assistance for clients with a severe behavioral health illness. Special services are also provided through the Mobile Crisis Unit.

We are currently accepting applications and referrals for Psychiatrists to work in our Adult Inpatient Unit. This is a full-time position with flexibility for part-time if desired. The attending Psychiatrist for our Adult Inpatient Unit is responsible for the provision of compassionate and evidenced-based psychiatric care to patients in one of our 30 bed adult inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities include:
*Provision of Direct Clinical Care to patients
*Supervision of residents, students, social workers, nurses and *other clinicians involved in the clinical care of patients
*Completing comprehensive and ongoing mental health *assessments, formulating treatment plans, initiating treatment, & managing psychiatric and medical issues of all patients
*Providing sound judgment with regard to disposition planning
*Conducting morning team rounds and providing clinical teaching
*Overseeing patient flow issues, managing team data and participating in departmental and unit meetings as delineated by the Chief of Psychiatry and Inpatient Unit Chief
*Conducting clinical case reviews where needed
*An academic appointment is available with Weill Cornell along with the opportunity for supervision of Residents and Fellows.
