🚀 High Paying General Adult Psychiatrist Needed ASAP | High-Impact Inpatient Role | No Call, Great Team | Reading, PA

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist (General Adult) for a full-time locum tenens opportunity at an inpatient behavioral health facility in Reading, PA. This is a 6-month assignment with an immediate need.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions
• Provide daily follow-ups and manage discharge planning
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic management
• Monitor medication effectiveness and patient response
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and psychology
• Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR (WellSky)
• Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards

• Patient Volume: 18–20 patients per day

Requirements

• Board Eligible in Psychiatry (General Adult)
• Active BLS certification
• Ability to work in an inpatient setting
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• No on-call responsibilities
• No Suboxone certification required
• Stable weekday schedule
