Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Full-Time | Outpatient + Inpatient | Texas

Overview:
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychiatric care, managing complex cases, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions
- Manage both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Provide post-discharge follow-up care
- Participate in emergency mental health coverage (shared call schedule)
- Collaborate with clinical staff and care teams across settings
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
Patient Volume:
- ~6 one-hour visits OR 10–12 shorter visits per day
- Mix of new evaluations and follow-ups
- Adult population with moderate to high acuity
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with peer reviews and case evaluations as needed
- Ensure compliance with clinical and documentation standards
- Maintain timely follow-up on labs, consults, and patient communication
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted medical license (any U.S. state)
- Active DEA
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Experience with adult or inpatient psychiatry preferred
