- 16-bed inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF)
- Adult patient population (18+)
- Team-based environment with multiple psychiatrists
- EMR: SmartCare
Job Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care in an inpatient PHF setting
- Conduct evaluations, daily rounds, and medication management
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage acute psychiatric conditions in a structured inpatient environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and case management
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-based care model
Working Hours
- 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule
- No overnight call
- Inpatient coverage only
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license required
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred

Job Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric care to adult patients in a 16-bed inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF)
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, daily rounds, and medication management
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for acute psychiatric conditions
Manage stabilization of patients experiencing severe mental health crises
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and case managers
Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the SmartCare EMR system
Support a collaborative, team-based care environment with other psychiatrists
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, county guidelines, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
Active DEA license required
Experience in inpatient psychiatry or acute care settings preferred
Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a structured inpatient environment
