This is a not-for-profit healthcare system with 240 licensed acute care beds, fully accredited by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ). Summary
Physician Medical Director has a dotted line reporting relationship structure between clinic leadership and Vice President of Carson Tahoe Medical Group. In addition to clinical professional services, the overall responsibility of the Physician Medical Director is to lead the clinics that report to Physician Medical Director (Department(s)) to a position of clinical excellence and to coordinate clinical and administrative goals with clinics leadership. The Physician Medical Director specifically manages issues/policies specific to clinical providers within the group (MD, DO and APC’s). The Physician Medical Director defines the issues important to the provider group and represents those providers in discussions with CTMG Leadership and the Board.
Qualifications
• Required
o Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
o DEA licensure and Nevada controlled substance license
o Board Certification and recertification in their specific specialty
o Active and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine within the State of Nevada
o Medical staff privileges at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center
o Experience in leadership within their field of medicine
o 5+ years' experience in clinical medicine
• Preferred
o 2+ year’s in a clinical leadership role
