### Clinical Psychologist – Burn Center | Phoenix, AZ Not-for-Profit Faculty Practice ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: Inpatient and outpatient — Arizona's only nationally verified burn center * Schedule: Weekday schedule * Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) ## Practice Overview Seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist with expertise in health psychology to join a multidisciplinary burn care team at Arizona's only nationally verified burn center: * Integral member of a multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical, and behavioral health professionals treating thousands of patients annually * Participate in daily rounds with the full care team * Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical assessments and therapy * Experience in psychological care in a medical setting preferred * Expertise in treatment of post-traumatic and pain conditions preferred * Clinical research experience beneficial but not required * Academic setting with opportunities for participation in research * Teach and educate a variety of learners including medical students, nursing students, PA/NP students, surgical and ED residents, EMTs, military medics, and firefighters * Assess and treat individuals of all ages * Faculty appointment available at two Phoenix medical schools * Core partner in the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance ## Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation package * Retirement plan * 20 days paid time off per calendar year * 10 paid holidays * 5 days continuing education time off * Generous continuing education financial allowance — applicable to textbooks, professional journals, professional association memberships, and qualified electronic devices * Licensure fees covered * Malpractice coverage including tail insurance paid by employer * Qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program * Full benefits package ## Required Qualifications * Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology * Expertise in health psychology — required * Active Arizona Psychology license required prior to start * Experience providing psychological care in a medical setting * Expertise in post-traumatic and pain condition treatment — preferred * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Willingness to participate in education of diverse learners ## About the Organization * Not-for-profit faculty practice plan owned and operated by physicians * 400+ providers representing all major medical and surgical specialties * Phoenix area's only public teaching health system * Inpatient behavioral health facilities in Phoenix, Mesa, and Maryvale * Established in 1877, serving the people of Maricopa County and Arizona * Governed by a publicly elected Board of Directors focused on exceptional care for all ## About the Community – Phoenix, Arizona * One of the fastest-growing major cities in the United States * World-class dining, arts, sports, and entertainment * Over 300 days of sunshine per year * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and exploring the Sonoran Desert * Excellent schools and diverse, family-friendly neighborhoods * Major international airport with extensive direct flight connections * Vibrant, diverse community with a strong sense of civic pride
