🕒 Schedule: Part-Time | 20 hours/week | Between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🏥 Setting: Adult Outpatient | Float Role
💰 Compensation: $200–$215 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join our team in San Jose, CA in a part-time, outpatient setting. This is a float position, providing coverage across adult outpatient services. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple clinic environments.
Strong preference for onsite providers.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting

Float between designated clinic locations as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, case managers, and support staff

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards
Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)

DEA license required

Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred

Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based care model

Flexibility to work across multiple sites (float role)

Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult patients
Provide ongoing medication management and treatment planning
Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions
Deliver patient-centered care in an outpatient setting
Float between clinic locations as needed to support coverage
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, case managers, and support staff
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EHR
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Participate in care coordination and case discussions
Adhere to all clinical, regulatory, and organizational policies and standards
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license required
Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred
Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based care model
