Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 04/20/2026
- End Date: 10/24/2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Clinical Details
- Under the direction of a Psychiatrist, provide psychiatric nursing and mental health care for inmates/residents
- Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
- Offer individual and group therapy
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Call: Accept on-call status
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing, with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
- Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Current board certification as a PMHNP by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurse Credentialing Center
- Active, unrestricted DEA or eligible to obtain
- Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of correctional custody methods and techniques
- US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
- Must be at least board eligible to qualify for privileges
- English proficiency: Speak, Read, Write
- Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Preferred: A valid driver's license
