Position Overview
Join a mission-driven community health center in the Austin metro area (Austin, Bastrop, or Georgetown) as a Psychiatrist, where you’ll have the opportunity to provide impactful outpatient mental health care while building a flexible, hybrid practice. This role allows you to combine in-person care with a virtual patient panel, expanding access for underserved populations while developing meaningful, long-term patient relationships. You’ll work within a collaborative, integrated care model alongside primary care providers and behavioral health professionals to deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient psychiatric care for a diverse patient population (ages 5+ or 13+), including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Manage common mental health conditions such as mood disorders, depression, and anxiety using evidence-based approaches
- Conduct both in-person and telehealth visits to ensure accessible, high-quality care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support integrated behavioral health
- Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Support teaching and mentorship opportunities
- Participate in limited on-call coverage (approximately 1–2 times per year)
Working Hours
This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some locations offering a later Tuesday shift. Providers work at a single clinic location in Austin, Bastrop, or Georgetown, with the option to work in a hybrid role after 90 days, depending on the telehealth patient panel. The role supports a manageable daily patient volume and built-in administrative time to ensure a balanced workflow. Care is delivered using the Athena EMR system.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license required
- Experience or interest in serving underserved populations preferred
- Comfortable treating children/adolescents in addition to adults
