Inpatient/Residential Psychiatry Locums Job Outside of San Antonio, Texas
Join a structured inpatient psychiatric team at a State Hospital, providing care to adult patients with complex mental health needs in a residential setting.
Key Highlights:
• Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Flexible options: 5x8s or 4x10s (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
• Onsite coverage needed
• No Call required
• Start: ASAP (pending clearance)
• Assignment: 6 months with option to extend
Setting & Responsibilities:
• Inpatient/residential psychiatric care
• Treat dually diagnosed adult patients
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and face-to-face assessments
• Respond to emergencies and restraint situations
• Collaborate with facility care team and follow HHSC policies
Requirements:
• Active Texas Medical License (no sanctions)
• Board Certified
• Active DEA
• CPR certification (AHA-approved)
• Must be credentialed with facility hospitals
