About the Opportunity
A growing behavioral health program in California is seeking a Medical Director (Psychiatrist) with Adult Patient Care responsibilities. This is a hybrid leadership and clinical role, offering the opportunity to shape clinical programming while continuing direct patient care in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities
Medical Director Duties:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of psychiatric services
- Ensure quality of care, compliance, and best practices
- Support and mentor clinical staff
- Participate in program development and process improvement
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult patients
- Provide medication management and treatment planning
- Manage ongoing care for patients with a range of psychiatric conditions
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications
- MD or DO – Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active California license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA required
- Prior leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
- Experience treating adult populations
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $300,000 – $400,000 annually (based on full-time)
