A growing behavioral health program in California is seeking a Medical Director (Psychiatrist) with Adult Patient Care responsibilities. This is a hybrid leadership and clinical role, offering the opportunity to shape clinical programming while continuing direct patient care in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

Medical Director Duties:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of psychiatric services
  • Ensure quality of care, compliance, and best practices
  • Support and mentor clinical staff
  • Participate in program development and process improvement
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult patients
  • Provide medication management and treatment planning
  • Manage ongoing care for patients with a range of psychiatric conditions
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

  • MD or DO – Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active California license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA required
  • Prior leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
  • Experience treating adult populations

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $300,000 – $400,000 annually (based on full-time)
