We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatry Physician to provide exceptional mental health care within a hospital setting. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to support adult patients during a maternity leave coverage period, ensuring continuity of quality psychiatric services. Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Valid State Medical License
  • Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric experience
  • Proficiency in Med Checks and Med Checks with therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse adult patient populations
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Cerner

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional certifications in mental health disciplines
  • Experience with hospital-based psychiatric care
  • Knowledge of specific procedures or therapeutic modalities
  • Previous work in a hospital environment with a small, 25-bed facility

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree with active state licensure
  • At least 1 year of post-residency psychiatric practice
  • Experience working with adult patients in hospital settings

Other Requirements:
  • DEA registration (in progress or obtained)
  • Willing to obtain applicable state licensing, including IMLC or WV temporary license
  • Availability for shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Credentialing process completed within approximately 60 days
  • Must support full-time coverage (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm) for a three-month contract starting July 1, 2026
  • Travel and licensing reimbursements available when applicable
