Job Title: Psychiatrist – Region 6
📍 Location: Northfield, OH 44067
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
📅 Duration: 3+ Months (Potential for Long-Term)
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions through comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
• Prescribe medications and provide psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral treatment interventions.
• Conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling for issues such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, suicidal ideation, and behavioral concerns.
• Perform forensic evaluations, including mental status exams, competency to stand trial, and sanity assessments.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and de-escalation strategies to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, multidisciplinary treatment teams, and community mental health providers to deliver coordinated care.
• Lead or support specialized therapy programs such as aggression management, coping skills training, and psycho-educational group sessions.
• Prepare clinical documentation, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment outcome reports.
• Participate in program development, policy improvements, and research initiatives.
• Serve as an expert witness when required and provide professional testimony in legal proceedings.
Required Qualifications:
• Doctoral Degree (MD or DO in Psychiatry)
• DEA Certification
• Healthcare Professional BLS/CPR Certification
• ANCC Certification
