A great locum opportunity is available for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide adult inpatient behavioral health care in a supportive hospital setting. This position offers a structured weekday schedule, manageable patient volume, and strong clinical support.

🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📞 Call Schedule: 1:4 rotation
📅 Weekend Coverage: 1:4 rotation
💻 EMR: Epic

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

✔ Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adult patients
✔ Manage approximately 15 patients per day
✔ Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management
✔ Work closely with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
✔ Participate in shared call rotation

🏥 Unit Overview

• 30-bed adult behavioral health unit
• Patients split between 2 inpatient physicians
• Total behavioral health capacity: 63 beds
• 3 inpatient psychiatrists currently on staff
• Outpatient team: 5 physicians + 1 APP

• 24/7 hospital security presence
• All staff trained in code response procedures
• Strong clinical and administrative support

📋 Requirements

✔ Board Certified Psychiatrist
✔ Active New York Medical License
✔ ACLS Certification
✔ Clean background for expedited credentialing
✔ Full-time availability required
✔ NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
