Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (rare after-hours may be required)
Duration: At least 6 months
Hours per Week: 40
Education: Doctoral Degree (MD or DO, board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry)

Job Overview
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to provide mental health services across multiple facilities. The psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults), prescribe medications, and provide psychotherapy and counseling. The role also includes supervising staff, reviewing patient records, and participating in professional development and training activities.

This position requires travel between facilities within the region, but travel plans will be communicated in advance. Ideal candidates should reside in or near the Columbus, OH area.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate, examine, analyze, diagnose, and treat patients; prescribe medications and provide psychotherapy (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification).
• Monitor and coordinate professional and paraprofessional medical, nursing, and direct care staff in psychiatric care.
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness; recommend improvements in care delivery and organization.
• Conduct and participate in lectures, seminars, and training for healthcare staff.
• Perform duties in accordance with professional scope of practice, facility policies, and standards.

Required Qualifications
• Active Ohio Medical License.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry.
• Experience providing care for adults, adolescents, and children.
• Submission of PECOS and National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
• Healthcare professional-level CPR certification.
• DEA certification (as applicable).
• COVID vaccination card or exemption.
• CPR certification
• Ohio medical license
• PECOS number and NPI

Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of medicine, psychology, sociology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Skill in administering medications and handling sensitive patient interactions.
• Competence in working with patients exposed to behavioral or psychiatric risks.
