Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Psychiatrist to join its expanding Behavioral Health team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity .The role focuses primarily on outpatient behavioral health services, with opportunities to collaborate closely with therapists, social workers, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

  • Provide medication management and ongoing treatment planning.

  • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure integrated care.

  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certification:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

Licensure:

  • Active or eligible medical license in New York.

  • DEA registration (or eligibility).

Experience:

  • Prior outpatient psychiatry experience preferred.

  • Residents completing training are encouraged to apply.
