Overview
A well-established hospital-based behavioral health program in Troy, NY is seeking 2 Full-Time Locum Psychiatrists for their Adult Inpatient Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to join a structured team with strong security support and an efficient credentialing process.
Practice Highlights
• General Adult Behavioral Health Unit – 30 beds (15 PPD per provider)
• Total inpatient capacity: 63 beds
• Inpatient team: 3 physicians (plus 2 locum openings)
• Outpatient team at full staffing: 5 physicians + 1 APP
• EMR: EPIC
• 24/7 on-site security and strong safety protocols
• Child evaluations only in crisis unit during weekend call (if admitted, transferred to adolescent facility)
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified – REQUIRED
• ACLS – REQUIRED
• Active New York License at time of submission – REQUIRED
• Clean background (quick credentialing) – REQUIRED
• Must be available Full-Time – REQUIRED
• Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within same month of submission) – REQUIRED
Schedule & Coverage
• Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call Rotation: 1:4
• Credentialing timeline: ASAP
