Seeking a Physician board certified or truly board eligible in Psychiatry Permanent job opening Physician Group employed position Required Training: Medical Degree from an Accredited University Completed a residency in Psychiatry Experience Requested: Strong track record in managing patients with neurological and psychiatric conditions Familiarity and/or interest in learning interventional psychology modalities ( TMS, ECT etc.). Experience in research or academic settings is preferred Outpatient Weekday Role with 1 weekend Inpatient Role Schedule: Monday – Friday Outpatient Practice + 1 weekend per month Inpatient Rounds (APP available for call coverage assistance) Call Responsibilities: Practice call Monday through Friday; however, there will be APP support and a call service, after hours, for patients to dial. Providers will be notified for emergency cases (for their own patients). One weekend of in-patient call/rounds is required per month at Regional Hospital. Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with neuropsychiatric conditions Treatment Planning and Management: Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological, psychotherapeutic, and advanced interventions such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for conditions like treatment-resistant depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with hospitalist, neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, advanced practice providers (APPs), etc. to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on neuropsychiatric conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and quality of life Research and Innovation: Contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives by participating in clinical trials or leading studies in neuropsychiatry, with opportunities for publication and collaboration with academic institutions Program Development: Collaborate on developing and expanding on the organization's psychiatry services, enhancing access to advanced diagnostic tools, and establishing innovative care protocols.
