• Full-time, permanent position
• Outpatient only
• Monday-Friday, daytime shifts
• Provides direct psychiatric services and consultation on site, at satellite offices, via telemedicine, or through consultation contracts
• Opportunity to serve a diverse outpatient population
• Acts as a liaison with hospital staff, other professionals, and agencies regarding psychiatric care Clinical Details
• Performs comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of assigned patients
• Prescribes and manages medications according to current standards of care
• Provides psychiatric consultations as indicated or requested
• Makes referrals or recommendations for appropriate services
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation and records Requirements
• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa upon hire
• Minimum 4 years of experience in psychiatry (can include residency)
• Must obtain board certification within 2 years if not already certified
• Experience in community mental health preferred
