Summary:
- Searching for a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide on-site services on a part-time basis (16-20 hours/week) to the male incarcerated population.
- Schedule is flexible based on needs of facility, but core hours are typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Selected psychiatrist will meet with 12-16 patients per 8-hour shift.
- Caseload is 75-100 patients.
- Assignment could lead to permanent hire.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
- Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
- Managing medication
- Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
- Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, Client policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
- Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
- Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Ohio Medical License.
- Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
