Psychiatrist – Region 5
Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 24–40 hours per week (typically closer to 40)
Duration: Minimum 6 months from projected start date

Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate, examine, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric conditions
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling (including behavior modification and related treatment modalities)
• Monitor and coordinate medical, nursing, and direct care staff related to psychiatric services
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness
• Recommend improvements in staffing and service organization
• Conduct and participate in educational lectures and seminars for healthcare staff

Required Qualifications
• Doctoral Degree (MD or DO)
• Active Ohio Medical License
• Completion of accredited residency training in Psychiatry
• DEA certification
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• PECOS enrollment
• CPR certification
• Experience treating adults, adolescents, and children

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong knowledge of psychiatry, medicine, psychology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
• Skilled in medication management
• Ability to interpret medical literature and technical materials
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work with sensitive patient populations
