Psychiatrist – Region 3 (Mental Health)
Location: Lucasville, OH 45699
Schedule: Flexible, typically between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: Part-Time (16–20 hours per week)
Duration: Minimum 6 months (potential for extension or permanent placement)
Education Required: Doctoral Degree (MD or DO)
Position Overview
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist licensed in Ohio to provide part-time, on-site psychiatric services within a secure facility setting. This role serves an adult male population and offers a flexible weekday schedule based on facility needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and interpret testing as appropriate
• Develop treatment plans in accordance with nationally recognized standards
• Document services in an electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
• Make referrals for specialized behavioral health services as needed
Patient Volume:
• 12–16 patients per 8-hour shift
• Ongoing caseload of approximately 75–100 patients
Required Qualifications
• Active Ohio Medical License
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
• DEA Certification
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
