Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)

Seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Psychiatrist

Community Health Center setting
-
Flexible hybrid schedule (remote and on-site)

Monday–Friday schedule only (no weekends)
Position Overview The Psychiatrist will provide client-centered psychiatric care to patients in a community-based setting, working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including ordering, performing, and interpreting screening and diagnostic tests

Provide routine follow-up visits to monitor and manage prescribed medications

Perform emergency consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits as needed

Deliver treatment in accordance with agency standards, protocols, and policies
-
Assist in managing referred and complex psychiatric cases

Document assessments, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care plans in the clinical record

Maintain required productivity standards

Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, support staff, administrative staff, and community resources
-
Provide patient and family education related to medications, diagnoses, health issues, and coping strategies

Maintain accurate, timely, and legible medical records
-
Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety, infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines

Requirements Education and Experience

Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)

Experience evaluating and prescribing for patients with mental and behavioral health diagnoses
Licensure

Connecticut MD license or license-eligible
-
Appropriate prescribing credentials
