Job description
MD Live by Evernorth is seeking board-certified Psychiatrists to join our provider network as independent contractors delivering high-quality virtual psychiatric care. This is a 100% remote, 1099 position providing medication management services only for mild to moderate conditions through our secure telemedicine platform.
Physicians are covered under MD Live's malpractice insurance (including tail coverage) once credentialed, with no fees to join the network.
As part of our growing Behavioral Health network, you’ll treat patients nationwide within MD Live's defined Scope of Practice and help expand access to timely mental health care.
IMPORTANT: MD Live psychiatrists provide medication management ONLY and may NOT prescribe controlled substances under any circumstances.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality virtual psychiatric consultations to MDLIVE patients via video or audio.
Treat mild to moderate behavioral health conditions.
Maintain timely and thorough clinical documentation.
Send e‑prescriptions promptly according to platform guidelines.
Accept and manage patient referrals during your self‑scheduled availability.
Collaborate with care coordination when specialty support is required.
Utilize MDLIVE’s EMR and follow all platform workflows, policies, and prescribing standards.
Adhere to strict guidelines prohibiting controlled substance prescribing on the platform.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of independent clinical experience post‑residency and/or fellowship (no supervised hours counted).
Must not be opted out of Medicare.
Hold an active, unrestricted DEA license.
Physically located within the United States.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to treat mild to moderate psychiatric conditions safely and efficiently in a telemedicine environment.
Working Hours
Total flexibility: mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays are all acceptable.
Work remotely from anywhere within the United States, including Puerto Rico.
Physicians manage their own schedules and can scale their caseload at their own pace.
Skills
Comfort with brief, focused medication-management appointments.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a rapid‑access care model.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Willingness to collaborate with care coordination when patients require specialty referrals.
