Job description
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to join a mental health and chemical dependency hospital in Riverside, CA. The physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients experiencing acute mental illnesses and related behavioral health conditions. This role includes medication management, psychotherapy, and care through both clinical counseling and medical treatment pathways.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
Provide medication management and psychotherapy
Coordinate and direct treatment plans for inpatients
Maintain compliance with all medical protocols, federal and state standards
Review, document, and maintain accurate clinical records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical staff
Ensure documentation, compliance, and confidentiality standards are upheld
Qualifications
Active license to practice medicine in California — required
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry — required
Post-graduate clinical practice preferred
Previous inpatient psychiatric experience — a strong plus
