Psychiatrist Opportunity – New Britain, Connecticut Hartford 12m A new opportunity is available for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join a cohesive behavioral health team, providing leadership and psychiatric services in New Britain, Connecticut. Position Details

  • Provide psychiatric services for adult, adolescent, and child patients on inpatient units and partial hospitalization programs
  • Deliver direct patient care, including diagnostic admission evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy
  • Work within a multidisciplinary treatment team and serve as a clinical team leader as appropriate
  • Provide guidance and leadership to clinicians in formulating and implementing treatment plans
  • Complete timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and discharge summaries
  • Monitor and address risk management issues to ensure safety for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Adhere to safe, evidence-based prescribing practices with informed consent
  • Act as liaison with outside providers, primary care physicians, schools, and family members
  • Supervise selected non-physician health professionals
  • Participate in Medical Staff committees and meetings
  • Provide oversight of psychiatric consult and liaison services for the general hospital
  • Supervise clinical training in community psychiatry for fellows, residents, and students
