Family Care Health Centers is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Psychiatrist to join its
integrated care team and support the mental health and wellness of patients across the St. Louis
community. In this role, the Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication
management, and consultation services for both pediatric and adult patients within a collaborative
primary care environment. Working alongside behavioral health clinicians, primary care providers, and
care managers, the Psychiatrist plays an essential role in delivering person-centered, trauma-informed,
and coordinated care that enhances patient outcomes and strengthens whole-person wellness. This

Job Responsibilities
* Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
* Provide medication management, including initiation, monitoring, and adjustment of psychiatric medications
* Offer psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations to primary care providers and behavioral health clinicians
* Participate in same-day behavioral health access by providing timely psychiatric evaluations when needed
* Manage complex and high-risk patients requiring ongoing psychiatric care prior to transition back to primary care
* Collaborate with Behavioral Health Consultants, social workers, psychologists, and care managers to support coordinated, whole-person care
* Provide consultation for substance use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment when appropriate
* Document all services, assessments, and medication decisions accurately within the electronic health record
* Work closely with the behavioral health leadership team to support program development and quality improvement efforts
* Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, team meetings, and care coordination activities
* Refer patients to external community providers for long-term psychotherapy, specialized services, or inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment when needed
* Support a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered approach to care
* Engage in continuing education and maintain all licensure and certification requirements
Working Hours
Louis, Missouri. The psychiatrist follows a weekday schedule aligned with standard clinic hours,
providing care in an outpatient primary care setting with integrated behavioral health support. Occasional participation in same-day access, team meetings, and care coordination activities is expected. The role involves close collaboration with medical and behavioral health teams across multiple clinic sites to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
