Locum - Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient Anderson, SC

Required Skills:
- Active Medical License and Certification in Psychiatry
- Proven experience in inpatient psychiatric care
- Ability to prescribe medications, including narcotics, following CMS guidelines
- Strong documentation skills, including weekly care plans and discharge summaries
- Competency in supervising healthcare providers, such as nurse practitioners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with EPICT electronic medical records system
- Knowledge of geriatric psychiatry
- Prior experience working in behavioral health facilities
- Familiarity with higher-acuity psychiatric settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Prior locum or temporary hospital-based role experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on or around February 4, 2026, with an expected credentialing timeframe of 60-90 days
- Travel reimbursement available if within driving distance; arrangements to be made upon approval
- Ability to work a varied schedule with a call ratio of approximately 1:4, with on-call responsibilities shared among four physicians and one mid-level provider
- Passion for providing exceptional mental health care and supporting a multidisciplinary team
