Locum - Psychiatry - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient

Join a dynamic team at a leading hospital in Anderson, South Carolina, seeking locum coverage for a Psychiatrist to support their inpatient behavioral health unit. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care to an average of 20 patients per day.
• Prescribe medications, including narcotics, and conduct pre-admission screenings according to CMS guidelines.
• Document weekly care plans and comprehensive discharge summaries.
• Supervise mid-level healthcare providers, such as Nurse Practitioners.
• Participate in a call rotation with a 1:4 ratio.
• Collaborate with a team of four physicians on call.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and electronic medical records management.

Qualifications:

• Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship training in psychiatry is preferred.
• Must have an active South Carolina medical license.
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active South Carolina medical license is required.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry is required.
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) is required.
