Overview
We’re seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide in-person psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to older adults across senior living and post-acute care settings in the greater Detroit area (e.g., short-term rehab, long-term care, assisted living).
You’ll work as part of an integrated interdisciplinary care team alongside medical and behavioral health clinicians to deliver holistic, patient-centered care. This role offers autonomy and flexibility, with weekday rounding and the ability to build a consistent caseload within assigned communities.
Schedule & Work Setting

In-person role in senior care communities in the greater Detroit region

Weekdays (Monday–Friday)

Flexible daily structure (no rigid minimum hours per day)
What You’ll Do

Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to adults/older adults (common presentations include anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief, and behavioral concerns)

Conduct cognitive screens and capacity-related evaluations as clinically appropriate

Develop and document individualized treatment plans and ongoing progress notes

Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to support treatment planning, behavioral strategies, and continuity of care

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation aligned with healthcare standards (including diagnostic coding as needed)
Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

Active Michigan Psychologist license (independent practice)

Ability to provide and document services independently (no supervision required)

Experience working with older adults and/or medically complex patients preferred

Working knowledge of clinical documentation, ICD-10, and healthcare environments
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

Behavioral health work in post-acute, long-term care, assisted living, or integrated care settings

Comfort collaborating within a team-based medical model

Experience supporting patients with cognitive impairment, disability, or complex psychosocial needs
