Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Inpatient Coverage: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
On-Call Coverage: Required during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to provide onsite psychiatric services in a clinical healthcare setting. The psychiatrist will deliver high-quality, patient-centered mental health care consistent with nationally recognized standards. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary mental health teams.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care (Approximately 95%)
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage admissions, discharges, medication management, follow-up care, e-consults, and treatment of patients with severe mental illness.
• Ensure timely patient care, accurate documentation, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Clinic & Residential Care
• Conduct scheduled onsite psychiatric clinics and provide care in specialty programs, including PTSD, intensive case management, and residential treatment.
• Maintain an average caseload of 6–6.5 bookable patient hours per day.
• See approximately 6 one-hour visits or 12 half-hour visits, or a combination thereof.
Peer Review & Quality Assurance
• Participate in peer reviews, case reviews, and quality improvement activities
• Support reviews related to patient complaints, clinical outcomes, and appeals
Administrative Responsibilities (Approximately 5%)
• Attend required staff meetings
• Coordinate with leadership regarding scheduling or clinical needs
• Communicate any conflicts that may impact clinical coverage
Licensure & Board Certification
• Active, full, and unrestricted MD or DO license in any U.S. state or territory
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
