A well-established hospital in Central New Jersey is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrists to provide Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry coverage beginning January 2026. This is a weekday-only assignment with no call, offering a predictable schedule and a highly collaborative medical environment.

Position Summary:

A well-established hospital in Central NJ is seeking two experienced Psychiatrists for a dedicated Consultation-Liaison role. Providers will focus on psychiatric consults for medical inpatients across the hospital. Collaborative work with medical teams will be key, providing psychiatric evaluation, recommendations, and short-term interventions.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: January 2, 2026
• End Date: July 3, 2026
• Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Call: None
• Coverage Needed: 2 Psychiatrists
• Setting: Hospital-based Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry

Clinical Scope:

• Provide psychiatric consultations to adult medical inpatients
• Work closely with medicine, surgery, and specialty teams
• Evaluate and manage conditions such as delirium, mood disorders, agitation, and capacity concerns
• Offer treatment recommendations and short-term psychiatric interventions
• Participate in collaborative discharge and care planning
• Occasional supervision of APPs when assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Experience or strong comfort in consultation-liaison psychiatry
• Confident managing psychiatric needs in medically complex patients
• Strong communicator who works well in interdisciplinary teams
