Seeking one full-time Locum Adult Psychiatrist to join a well-established inpatient behavioral health program. Position Overview

• Specialty: General Adult Psychiatry

• Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health

• Patient Population: Adults (18+)

• Census: 16–20 patients

• EMR: WellSky

• Board Status: Board Eligible accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions

• Provide daily follow-ups and manage discharge planning

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic management

• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient response

• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation as needed

• Collaborate with nursing, social work, psychology, primary care, and other disciplines

• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings

• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the EMR

• Adhere to ethical, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards of care

• Participate in quality improvement and professional development initiatives

Support & Team Structure

• 12 other psychiatric providers on site

• Full interdisciplinary treatment team and dedicated nursing staff

• No mid-level supervision required

• You will not be working solo

Requirements

• MD or DO

• Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• BLS Certification

• Active or eligible Pennsylvania license

• Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred

• Suboxone certification not required
